Harry impresses at Greater Manchester Cross Country!


Harry Peacocke continues an impressive cross country season with second place in the U15 race at the Greater Manchester Cross Country Championship and confirmation as U15 champion in the Red Rose Cross Country League.
Harry last ran the Greater Manchester Championship in 2019, where he placed 6th in the U13 race, his result in the 2021 Championship demonstrates significant progression, built upon dedication to training and through building racing experience on the track as well as cross country.
The result will guarantee him an entry to the Inter Counties Cross Country held at Loughborough in March. He also hopes to take part in the National Cross Country at Parliament Hill in London in February.
As well as training regularly with the juniors on a Thursday night, Harry has been joining the senior track group on a Tuesday under the supervision of Jeff McCarthy and has gained from being able to run with experienced athletes such as Men’s Captain Richard Stirzaker.

Hi Harry is doing so well. I know after being in harriers in 80s and 91 that it’s so rewarding. Loved racing at Springfield Park and all over country. Harry your inspiring all the younger members. Well done. Thank you harriers for looking after me as a teenager.
