Salford 10k

Ten Harriers spent Good Friday morning in Broughton at the Salford Harriers 10k. The two lap course is fairly fast and the race always attracts a high quality field.

This year the race is a counter in the Rochdale Harriers Road Race Championship.

The race was won by V. Urquhart Smangs in a time of 29.51.

Chris Merchant was the 1st Rochdale Harrier to finish in 34.29.

Chris was closely followed by James Jordan in 34.49, his fastest 10k in eight years.

Danny Bennett was second V50 in a time of 37.30.

Anjum Ahmed continued his good run of form, recording a new personal best of 39.02.

Kevin Holland recorded a time of 42.42.

Ladies Captain, Fiona Williams was the only lady running for Rochdale Harriers, she a few steps behind Ian in 43.19.

Matt Jones ran a time of 44.47.
