The Club’s AGM will take place at 19:30 on Monday 24^th March, 2025, at the Norden Bowling and Social Club, Trinity Street, Norden, Rochdale OL12 7RD. The venue has some parking spaces and a fully-licensed bar.

All RHAC members are invited and encouraged to attend. If you have any suggestions on how to improve our Club, suggest a new role, or if you wish to stand for a Committee position or nominate or second a person who wishes to stand, please contact Richard Stirzaker (secretary@rochdaleharriers.org.uk) by Monday, 17th March 2025.

The agenda includes:

1. Setting the Club membership and Training fees for the coming year;
2. Review of the accounts;
3. Nomination of Committee Members (see below); and
4. Review and vote on any new roles (e.g. Juniors’ Communication Officer to bring the Senior and Junior sections closer together and facilitate communications between the two, e.g. on cross country, the Annual Awards Presentation, get Junior fixtures onto website, identify areas requiring help/backup and work with the Publicity Managers to recognise the achievements of our junior athletes and their coaches).

Any current Member may stand for any position (including those listed below) by contacting the Secretary not less than seven days before the AGM, in Writing.  In particular, due to retirements the following positions are vacant and need to be filled:

1. Secretary (we have one ‘name in the hat’ so far)
2. Welfare Officer (someone with the time to complete EA’s mandatory, online training within 6 months and ideally has some Safeguarding experience, e.g. from a school or health care environment). EA require Welfare Officers to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
3. At least one DBS verifier (this is not an onerous role). EA require DBS Verifiers to pass an Enhanced DBS check. 
4. Any new roles (see above).

The Members of the Committee who are standing for re-election or retiring are as follows. As mentioned above, any member may put themselves forward for any of these roles, even if the current incumbent is not retiring. You can find role descriptions on the Policies Section of our website:
