Five Trigs Fell Race and Knutsford 10K, 2024

5 Trigs start line at 9 a.m.

On Saturday, 28th September 2024, eleven Rochdale Harriers completed the Five Trigs Fell Race from Delph. This race was the penultimate in the RHAC Fell Champs and the inter-Clubs Run the Moors Fell Grand Prix. The course was about 18.5 miles ling, depending on route selection between checkpoints, with over 3,000ft of ascent. Kay Welsby was first Rochdale Harrier home and third lady overall🥉. Jennie Ransome had a tremendous run to win her age category by a margin of 45 minutes 🥇.

Harriers at the start of the Knutsford 10K

On Sunday 29th September, 2024, road running took centre stage with 20 Rochdale Harriers racing the Knutsford 10K. Amongst the PBs were Luke Burley (35:00), Phil Lockett (38:40), Jonathan Lupton (38:54), Gareth Bright (39:02), Izzie Brandon (first sub-40 – 39:44), Bruno Rolinha (42:20), Pete Butterworth (44:49, the day after he ran the 18.5 mile / 3,000ft Five Trigs Fell Race), Zara Hirst (47:53) and Susie Hirst (47:56).

In a large and highly competitive field, Danny Bennet and Juliet Smith were delighted to finish second in their age categories.
