• RHAC ‘MEMBERS ONLY‘ training session with chip timing, print-out of results and video of finish line

• Location : Kingsway Sports Arena, Rochdale, OL16 4XA
• Distance : 3,000m (min. age TBC) & 5,000m (min. age TBC).
• A great chance to set a personal best 3,000m or 5,000m time at training, or to experience the unique nature of running the distance on the track. There is always great support on each lap.
• Chip Timed with results print out and a finish line video clip.
• 5,000m participants will be split into groups: sub 20min and 20min+.
• Entry Fee : £6 payable online by 7th August

• A breathtaking (in every sense) 6-mile course with 700ft (210m) ascent.  Stunning views on the climb up Edenfield road and during the descent down Ashworth Valley Road
• Distance : 9.6 km / 6 miles, 
• Ascent : 178 m / 585ft
• Prizes : Individual prizes on each day and overall across the three days
• Entry fee:  £9.20 for EA-Registered athletes. £11.40 for everyone else.  
• Entry: Entry ‘on the night’ is fine, no problem. And you can do just this one race if you wish.

• An undulating, three lap course through Naden Valley, School Lane, across the stream and past the Three Owls Bird Sanctuary
• Distance 9.3km / 5.8 miles (approximate)
• Ascent 241m / 791 ft

• Past Results

A challenging six mile fell race that skirts alongside the Greenbooth and Naden Reservoirs, before an all-fours scramble up to the moors. From there it’s round the Knowl Hill trig point, a fast descent to the reservoirs and one further climb before descending to Doctor Dam and then 200m to the finish line.

• Cut off: Entrants who haven’t reached the ‘tardis’ at the far end of Naden Higher Reservoir (SD 84979 17488) by 45 min form the start time will be retired from the race (for the safety of the runners, marshals and for organisational reasons. No one has ever been caught by this cut-off (yet)).
• Kit requirements: Please bring mandatory FRA kit (waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and integrated attached hood), hat, gloves, map of the route, compass, whistle and emergency food). A decision will be taken on the day whether to relax the kit requirements.

Accurately measured 10k, single lap undulating road race. Starting at Springfield Park, up Roch Valley Way, through Bamford, down past Queens Park and back through Heywood to the finish line in the park. This race has been going for over 45 years.

Hades Hill is usually the final evening fell race of the season. After a tough uphill start, the route levels out before the rollercoaster ride over Brown Wardle, Middle Hill, Hades Hill and back before a field finish above the start line.

• Date & time: Thursday 3rd September 2026 at 6:45pm.
• Race HQ : Red Lion PH, The Square, Whitworth, OL12 8PY.
• Cut off: Due to the early nightfall at this time of year, we have to include a cut-off. Anyone not reaching the top of Brown Wardle (SD 89842 18684, 1.3 miles and 550ft of climb from the start) within 24 minutes from race start will be retired from the race. This equates to a steep uphill pace of about 12min/km or 18.5 min/mile.
