ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIP 2021

As we are moving out of lockdown and races are starting to take place again, we have decided to organise a reduced road race championship in 2021. Given that races may have limited fields this year and are filling up quickly, we recommend that athletes enter as soon as possible.

The championship races are as follows:

SHORT

Sale Sizzler 5k

17 June / 1 July / 15 July / 29 July (all Thursday evenings).

As usual you can race any or all of these, with your best time to count.

As usual, athletes will accrue points based on their position relative to other Rochdale Harriers in the same race. The best three results for each athlete will be used to determine the championship results, although the Sale Sizzlers can only be used for one race (i.e. an athlete cannot just run 3 Sale Sizzlers and no other races to qualify for the championship).

There will be overall championships for female and male athletes as well as the usual age category prizes (U23 and veteran categories starting at V40 in 5 year increments).

If there are any questions please contact Richard Stirzaker.
